This is a question. If you flee during malistare's second form and come back can you still get malistare tier 1 loot or is all hope of getting that sweet gear lost for that battle?
I am assuming that you are referring to Malistaire in Darkmoor and from my observations, as long as you stayed to get the second chance chest then you stayed long enough for a chance at any loot drops he might have offered. fleeing from battle can sometimes cut into your loot reward amounts but if you stayed for his final defeat then you had a chance at loot.
