I was first introduced to wizard101 in 2009 but didn’t start playing until 2012. And I’m still strong been playing for 6 years and will continue to play!! Who has been playing since 2008? Who’s the OGs of wizard city?
I don't remember if we started playing in '08 or not but I know the entire family had an account by early '09. We played until my wife passed in mid 2010 and took the master password with her.
Came back in '16 and have been playing ever since.
I've been playing non stop since February 2009 (started membership in March after I used all the free trial time :). This is an incredible game if you don't demand your games must be presented in 1080/HD/4K style (which graphics are getting updated!). Plus, I'm an old school Final Fantasy person, so turn based games have been my thing for awhile.
i started in September of 08 get membership Christmas of that year loved the game i always keep my pet from my 1st membership card on meat all times my hero pig! the game has change so much for the better. so i would consider my self a 'OG"
I've been playing since the game first got full voice acting. That was around the time it hit 1,000,000 players. I even remember the in-game Wizard name of that 1,000,000th player: FIona Ashblood ( who I actually met in the arena at one point ).
Ah, those were the days. Before the housing tours, housing gauntlets, all the worlds past Celestia, Grizzleheim, Wysteria, the Bazaar, and level 50 was still the level cap! Gosh, I miss those old days.
If Wizard101 ever gets a fanmade revival, they should really make an "Oldschool" server that plays just like the Wizard101 from 2009. No new graphics, or anything past Dragonspyre, or level 50. Just old vanilla Wizard101 from the 2008-2009 period. That would be pretty neat.
