Evil Magma Peas are the best.

Couch Potatoes are the next best.

Both give rank 9 mega pet snacks at elder.

Agree... EMP and CP. I also use deadly helephant ears and sword ferns (which drop mega snacks and nice TC blades). CPs are great for gold too, as they give multiple snacks that sell well at every harvest (not just elder).
