A small quality of life / immersion idea came to mind today while questing in the Drake Hatchery (2nd part). Could the Drakeling become a follower after defeating Viktor Snowcrusher and freeing them from their egg? That would be so adorable! Accompanying you for a few quests before travelling to Dragon's Roost seems appropriate, maybe a little passive buff.
I'm sure Dragonspyre will receive some love in future updates and I think that would be a fun addition to the game.
