Piles of Gold - Glitch?

So the piles of gold sold by Guillermel cost up to 425,000 gold. That seems awful expensive for what it is. Is it intentionally supposed to cost that much to get these housing items, or is that a glitch?

its meant to cost that much. its mainly for if you have a ton of gold and nothing to buy.

Most likely intentional. Been that way since Mirage came out.
