I purchased a membership and i still can’t get open chat

Alright so I purchased a membership from GameStop and all of that but for some reason it still won’t allow me to use open chat. I should be able to use it anyways because I’m old enough regardless but it still won’t let me enable it in the account settings. Why is this happening

Prepaid cards cannot be used to unlock open chat.

This is usually stated by KI themselves.

To gain access to open chat, in addition to having an active membership account is a valid credit card on file (via your parental controls).

Your account also needs to reflect the fact that you are 18 years or older.

Once this all is satisfied, you can toggle the option on/off in your parental, master control settings.

Gift cards have nothing to do with Open Chat really.
