In the Pyramid of the Sun, nearly every boss is Fire. There are a few exceptions, but those are usually Death. So after a long and grueling run through the Palace of Fire, I've come to the conclusion that:
Always pack prisms in your deck, think of them as a mandatory trap that only works on fire bosses Get a wand that has an Ice wand hit [I literally downgraded from a level 10 balance wand for a level 5 ice wand, you won't be alone if you have to downgrade] just in case if they decide to be an absolute ray of sunshine and use an ice shield before you get the prism down Get Gobblestone's Pendant [amulet] - this gives you three Fire Shield cards, you'll need to use these for quests like Give 'em another round! and TROF. Sunbird. Have as many of these as you can, DOT spells really don't work against fire bosses seeing as there isn't a prism blade Pack heals into your deck, these will be essential even with all the stuff aforementioned
After doing all this and getting the things for it, the Pyramid should be a breeze. It's the first thing you'll do upon entering Krok, as well. After you do all this, though, Krokosphinx should be even easier - just pack DOTs because the mobs there have a fondness for Tower & Fire shields.
