Free Arc doesn't work with Team Up

Trying to earn Spiral Showcase points by doing a Team-Up in Dragonspyre using the 1st arc free we have until the end of the month. It shows I can 'Sample Zone' but then the screen just refreshes and my char remains at the kiosk, not able to join.
