If you use a delayed cast spell via Nightbringer or Daybreaker while a shadow creature like Dark Nova is active, it will grant two shadow spear charms and reduce backlash by 2 times. The shadow creature does not advance stages twice, so it does not give 1 shadowspear and a mass shadow trap on the enemy.
To replicate: 1) Cast Dark Nova 2) Cast a charm or trap enchanted with Daybreaker or Nightbringer 3) Cast a normal charm or trap (with or without potent trap or sharpened blade)

Thanks Spark Plasma for the detailed description of this issue!

It has been previously noted that Daybreaker and Nightbringer have had several issue co-operating with certain spells. This is probably just another part of that issue that hasn't yet been fixed.
