That happened to my wizards who recently did this quest as well, for some reason all of them lost the quest. The good news is the lion in front of you is Sobaka and you're to speak to him next. This should pick you back up on the main quest

I tried going to him to talk to him, but the press X box doesn't pop up and nothing happens when I try to press X :(

I figured it out! I just used the find quest thing and it took me to Hathi Irontrunk, I have my questline back, thanks for the help :)
