used to play a few years back and now im here again, have 1 lvl 45 myth/sotrm and 1lvl 24 pyro/life wizard... tried playing with them both but forgot most of whats going on, and have too many cards/strategies so its overwhelming after a few years.
planning to make a new wizard to relearn what has been long forgotten, looking for questing partners. usually online for about 2-3 hours a day few days a week, time zone GMT +2 . comment here if interested.
Now about the advice : looking for a good class combo for supporting but also for soloing so that im not stuck if i have no one to help me. thinking about (primary/secondary) : storm/death , death/life , storm/balance or pyro/ice

Having soloed this game on just about every school at least to level 75, these are my impressions:
Fire is just about as strong as Storm, but fizzles less and has more health. They have slight ability to heal themselves but with Life as a second they're solidly self-sufficient.
Life is slow going up until level 58 with Forest Lord, which changes the game for them completely. Suddenly Life can be the power hitter! Suggest Fire, Balance, Myth or Ice as a second so you have access to an earlier AoE (Attack on Everyone); or, Death for Feint.
Death has low power until they learn Feint. Then, watch out! When relying on drains, Death has to set up single hits that can take time. This can make them vulnerable. Suggest Ice for Tower shield or Myth for Minotaur (which can be mutated into a Death Minotaur).
Myth school will teach you strategy as you learn to work with your minions and take out enemies one at a time. Suggest Life up to Satyr for healing, or Death for Feint.
Ice is a huge challenge up until about level 40 due to the lack of a blade, but once they get it...? Ice suddenly walls itself up into this incredible fortress of power and impermeability. It's amazing--nothing gets through and their hits pack a wallop. Suggest Life for healing or Death for Feint.
Storm is fragile and struggles through midgame, but picks up tremendous power after level 90 or so. Suggest Death up to Feint or Life up to Satyr.
Balance is very easy through mid-game but begins to struggle in Azteca and Khrysalis due to weird, multi-hit spells. Balance gets back on its feet by the end of Khrysalis, however. Balance can second with any school due to their universal blades, but Death is best for its drains and Feint.
Easiest schools to solo are Death, Fire, Life. Best schools for group support: Life, Balance, Death and Myth. Best schools for PVP: Balance, Ice, Fire.
