I am at lvl for ds! But I can't defeat the monsters! Can someone tell my why that is? Oh, and if you know the quest to get to the second ring plz answer below!

Hi Taylor. Dragonspyre is meant to be the toughest and most challenging world in the Malistaire arc, so it's bound to be a little tricky. Hope this helped! -Gavin LifeMender

DS is a bit tougher than previous worlds, you will most likely need to change your strategy a/o have some friends quest with. I'm willing to help if you want to meet up. So far as second ring if you would be more specific I'll be glad to pass along any info I am able.
