Just because you defeated a boss by joining a friend, does not mean you have completed your required tasks.
You are currently working on the mainline quest in Krokotopia called "Get Some Bling" that was given to you by General Khaba in the Hall of Champions.
Before you can obtain your own Spiral key to each world, you must complete the tasks you were given in prior worlds. Only when you have completed the required quests in Krokotopia will you be offered the key to Marleybone. From there you need to complete your required quests in Marleybone before you can enter MooShu, and after MooShu comes Dragonspyre.
