Please help. I understand each 5 crit rating is 1% for critical hit, however I have a pet with both critical striker which is plus 24 and critical hitter with plus 18. When I look at my overall critical percentage, it says my pet is
is plus 1% for striker and same for hitter. This doesn't equal 5 to 1%. What am I missing?

Critical rating is not as simple as 5 rating equals 1%. It scales by your level. Higher the level, higher the critical penalty.

At Level 50 and under, it's about every 6 critical ratings for every percent. At Level 100 it's about every 29 critical rating you get an extra percent.

Duelist101 has a calculator in order to figure out critical. I don't suggest using critical pets at max level.

Critical isn't 5 rating = 1%

The base value is (rating x9)/40 for each item or pet talent

Each critical item and critical pet talent is then reduced by 1/10% per level above 50, with a minimum of 1%

Critical pet talents on a high level wizard are almost useless and should be avoided for this reason. On lower level wizards they can be pretty effective.
