I love the new jewel update! I bet most of you feel the same. But I feel that its potential is even greater for the game.
There are many disadvantages of card-jewels: You only get one. You need a triangle slot. Triangle is not a common slot. You need to get it as a drop, and it's kinda rare. You cannot enchant it. Unlike TC, you need to wait for it to appear.
So right now, almost all card-jewels have spells that can be acquired easily via TC. That's why I think that the Card-Jewels should give you Unique and Slightly Overpowered spells for their pip cost. Unique School Heals (Myth and Ice have none and Fire is bad as a heal and will activate your blades and traps) Strong hit all-low cost spells (Life needs one for example) Cool Hybrids (Imagine a Fire Minotaur that first swing removes shields and next will leave a DOT) 0-pip Support spells (So that wizards from all schools can use) Unique Shadow Spells! ... So many more options!

What do you guys think?
When I first read this, I was in a rush and didn't reply, but I assumed it would catch like wildfire; and it should! I think the first thing to do is leave the triangle jewels as they are, but then have at least 3 more waves of jewels. First; square astral jewels. We have Colossal Opal and that's about it: Polymorphs! Polymorphs & Auras would be great additions to rings & athames. Next wave; circle hematite. Shadow spells have always been cool; so why not use the new jewel you made specifically? Third wave; mutated tears. Imagine an ice deck with a polar swarm, or a myth deck with a myth banshee. Certain spells are amazing and are supposed to be amazing because they're not what you expect; more of this is even better. Further waves; random completion. The lowest healing jade on the wiki is Satyr; I want a jewel with maybe one or two minor blessings, or pixie, or fairy, or unicorn. Or anything lower than 4 pips. And I'd love a judgement citrine or a MINOTAUR MINION PERIDOT! You have all the other minions; just one missing has my OCD ranting.
Sorry about that last part, but I'm surprised this post isn't a hot topic already.
Yup. Variety is good, and since jewel spells are limited in number and cant be enchanted, they have less potential to imbalance than treasure cards or trained spells.
I'd love jewels with Elucidate, Backdraft, Forest Lord Cub
I thought that the point of crafting triangle jewels was that we could input our own TC that we received and that we could use it in the jewel. What a huge let down that was, I had a lycian chimera TC waiting to be used and was gonna give it to my balance wiz. If KI changed to this system we could use spells that were only available TC, like those krokotopian spells or those new iron golem spells from the telegraph box, things would be way more enjoyable and just another way we could make ourselves more unique.
