how do i get into the throne room to fight manu nirini? I turned the braisers red b, but it won't let me in.
Are you sure they were "red"?
On my computer, the colors are funny. When it is supposed to be "red", my colors look like orange. When it is supposed to be "blue", mine are pretty closed to a pale blue. When it is supposed to be "purple", mine are a very pale purple (almost looks like a soft red).
Watch the colors when you click on the braziers. The three color choices are red, blue, and purple (for fire, ice, and storm). See which one your "red" comes up as (maybe "orange" like mine?).

Hmm... So long as you actually started the quest "serpent staff" quest that professor Winthrop gives you, it should work. I would double check that you have all 4 braziers set correctly because once you do, you should here a noise and the doors will open. I just double checked it on one of my wizards and it is working properly.
