to get past the gate you don't even have to do the dungeon. just go up to it and press x to get in. and the fight is solo so no one can help you with the fight.

This is a school quest and must be done solo. You do not have to do the entire dungeon. If you do not have access to the Labyrinth yet, you must gain access my doing the main storyline quests to open this area. No one can help with that; all areas are earned by questing. Your school quest will be there when you are ready.
