Wizard City: Help with Gold

I want to get a castle but its 8000, and I have 5000.

Any ways of getting gold besides Crowns?

You should continue questing, as completing quests provides you with gold (and usually gear).

Or maybe you could just farm bosses. They drop both gold after being defeated, as well as gear, which you can sell at the Bazaar.

and (unless you craft) you can sell all you're materials last time I did I got 17,000 gold

Fishing is a great way to get gold even if you just stick to the free lure.

Grow Dandelions in your dorm planters,(replant the seeds your free seed gives you) you can even feed the excess seeds to your pet, you will usually get gold, and or gold and TC. You can then sell the TC's you do not want to use.

Silver Chests are a bit tricky and don't give a lot at first, but hunt them down and try to crack their code.
