Spiders at Webwood

Ok so every time I go through Webwood to get to the Yardbird I hug the side of the path so I won't have to duel any monsters. But every time I go through I have to duel a spider and loose all of my health and mana and I start back near the World Tree area of Grizzleheim. Any help

Going "through Webwood" seems to be the hard way to get that yardbird. He is actually one of the easy yardbirds to reach.

If you take the path to your left, and walk towards the NPC Swiftbranch, you can walk up the grassy area behind him, and the yardbird is at the top of that path.

First, you are at least level 20 and a Life wizard. How on earth are you being defeated? If you know you can't make it through without being drawn into duels, prepare for them with the proper cards in your deck. and heal yourself.

You have lots of time to get that yardbird. Maybe come back after you get your Seraph card to make it easier.

@RavenLady777 I have no idea how I am being defeated. It seems like my healing cards turn up at the wrong time, when I have no tips. But the bit about waiting for the Seraph card is a good idea. I currently have a sprite guardian in my deck.
@AluraMist2 Thanks for the tip! I actually use that site very frequently. I think that is where I saw the map. The map showed me that I needed to go through Webwood. Maybe I read that wrong. I am quite infamous at home and school for my careless mistakes. Thanks.

You do not have to go through webwood to get to that yardbird.
