I went into the the great spyre. My quest was to explore Malistaire's place. I stayed in there for a long while. I beat every thing that was there and had no where else to go. I found the door to the crown of fire and it was locked and i was not able to get the key. Can anyone help with this? I thought that some of the bosses and others that I had to fight might drop the key but I checked and double checked for anything still standing alive but there was nothing. There was one guy just standing there but I could not interact with him. He didn't have a question mark on his head or anything. Was this a glitch perhaps?

I am not in DS yet but i still know this: to enter mallistare's lair, you must have at least three people in your party.
