"test of aptitude"

Ok I need help with this quest. I click on the book that says "test of aptitude" and it says "Those things that live must shine bright. Those things that do not live, must remain dark. and there are 6 obelisks. Sun, Tree, Snake, Beetle, Moon, Bird.

If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.

Which of these items are living creatures or plants:

Sun, Tree, Snake, Beetle, Moon, Bird.

?
Those are the obelisks you will need to have lit up, the others will need to be dark.

I am stuck in the 3rd room here the book says: The lighting isn't right for a storm. It has 2 Braziers and 4 obelisks. I figured I turn the Braziers purple because that is the storm color but what do I do with the obelisks?
