My friend and I both play wizard101 though she signs in via wizard101.co.uk while I use .com and no matter how many times we try even when in the same room the generated friend code comes up as invalid. is this because of the site used or are we doing something wrong?

The KingsIsle (.com) and Gameforge (.uk) versions of the game are completely separate and are in no way linked together.

If you want to play with your friend, I'm afraid one of you will have to start again with a new account on the other version of the game.
