Taunts! What are they? They DON'T make enemies go for you, I have experiences. So what do they do? Are they useless?
In normal battles you have to constantly use it to build up threat. If the battle starts and you cast it, it works. If one of your friends attacks, you will have to generate more threat then that attack did. Threat has no effect in pvp.

they do make enemies go for you your just using it wrong
everytime a enemy sees you heal yourself or deal huge damage they start gaining what we will call threat points towards that player threat points are a hidden factor but the higher this number is toward a player the more it will strike that player
threat spells allow you to give up pips to make a threat blast lets use this with real world example
random kid: hey bully pick on me not him ya coward bully: grrr i am gonna focus on that kid since he called me a coward
see its just like in the game kinda
lowering threat is quite different random kid: yo bully your awesome bully: yeah thnx
see now the bully is less likely to pick on that person
bully= enemy in pve battles random kid: wizard in wizard101
