i know this sounds kind of noobish coming from a lvl 46 myth wiz, but what does the whole stun thing really do...i've asked some of my friends but they dont know, so if anyones knows really what it is then thanks :)

yea it has the other player/monster involentarily pass, also, whenever you stun someone, it puts up 4 stun shields, blocking your attempt to stun for 4 times, one the fifth time and all the shields are gone, you can stun them again.
