It used to be that if you fought Grummish Greataxe and died, he'd still be there when you came back. That made it so that if you killed his escorts and then died, you could come back and finish him solo. Now if he wins a battle, he despawns, so that you can't do that. Is that intentional, or is it a glitch?

Try logging out and back in or try a new realm. I've defeated Grummish a couple of times and he still respawns for me.
