If orange is the first choice in the top left on the right side for your gear, the "ORANGE" sign pops up and covers the square making it so you can't click on the square.
The luxurious boots in the shoe shop in Wizard City for example. The trim in the top left corner is orange. When you mouse over it, the ORANGE sign pops up over the orange square making it impossible to click on it.
