After you practice Shock-a-lock a few times it gets easier. I have heard that the quicker you solve it, the better your reward. I knkow for certain that the higher the world, the more gold you receive. Sometimes, you will receive a treasure card, but you will always get more gold from a Silver Chest than a Wooden Chest.
