I think homes should be able to be used, if someone clicks the lecturn there could be menu which would display a whole selection of uses. Or be able to buy/craft an arena for your house. Another idea could be to actually SIT in the chairs and such. Do somthing with it, ya' know?
What are some ideas you guys, the community of Wizard101, can think of for functionality (Is that even a word?) of your house/dorm.
