What does +1 enchantment on a ring do?

Newbie question but hopefully somebody can help. Skimming through the bazaar I saw a ring that featured a +1 (enchantment symbol) on it. I've no clue what this means. Can anybody help?

The enchantment symbol and the Power pip symbol are very similar. I believe that you are talking about a power pip.

Ah, ok. So in this case that ring would raise your chance of getting a power pip by 1%?
