Let the Games Begin!

Ravenwood has opened its doors, and everyone is encouraged to enroll now!
If you’ve ever considered trying your wand at magic, there is no time like the present to realize your potential. Got a song in your heart? See Professor Woo in the Life School. Enjoy a winter day and consider yourself a patient soul? Visit Professor Greyrose and start learning the tricks of the trade in the Ice School. Like spicy food and feel that spontaneity is the spice of life? Come see Professor Falmea, in the Fire School! There are many different paths for many different wizards, but if you want to protect the Spiral and defeat all the great evils lurking out there, we can help you on your way! Once you make the decision, let us help you start on that journey at Ravenwood.

Monthly Message from Headmaster Ambrose

Dear Incoming Students,

My, what an exciting time! The new semester is beginning, and with it, Wizard City becomes the host and home-away-from-home for an entirely new generation of aspiring Wizard apprentices.

To think that the summer has already flown by! It seems like just yesterday our summer semester was beginning. I would like to send a personal thank you to all the students who took time out of their busy schedule and helped us – through work and perseverance – to mold and craft our class curriculum for the coming year.

Dangerous times are afoot at Wizard City! In addition to your school work, we must warn you that our city is beset with all manner of foul creatures… so this school year looks to be especially challenging. But with luck and persistence, Wizard City will survive… and hopefully we can bring peace and tranquility to Ravenwood School of Magic once more.

I look forward to working with you… and don’t forget to bring your school supplies!

Classes have begun! Are you ready?

Sincerely,

null

My family and I just got back from the event at Dragon's Lair in Austin. Great Job, Guys! My 8 year old daughter said that if I took her to the event, she did not want any presents. When we got home, she said it was the best birthday ever. The WOOO (my abbreviation for Wizard 101) crew were gracious and helpful and made the day very special for my kids.

Thanks for a great afternoon and here is hoping that you do something like this again.

Falmea’s Tips

While orientation should get you acquainted with everything you need to start your classes, here are some helpful tips on how to make the most of your first Ravenwood days.
null
  1. Get to know the students in your class and make friends.
  2. Help other students out if you can, because you never know when you’ll be the one in need.
  3. Get acquainted with the grounds right away before you venture too far out. Use M to bring up your map or find the map tab in your spellbook.
  4. Carrying everything around with you gets heavy! Use your dorm room to store stuff you might want later.
  5. If you happen upon things you can’t use, see the merchants in the Shopping District for some extra gold.
  6. Adventuring out in groups makes the time pass faster, and makes dueling more fun!
  7. If you’re having trouble with one particular duel, see Harold Argleston in the library. Treasure cards can make all the difference!
  8. Check out all the spells at all of the schools before you spend your training points to make sure you pick the right spells for you.
  9. Most of all, have fun and make your Professors proud by the way you conduct yourself out in the Spiral!
