Happy Hallowe'en!

I say this every year, but Hallowe'en is by far our favorite festival in the Spiral! All your favorite Hallowe'en friends are back with their ghostly items to get your Wizard into the Hallowe'en Spirit.

There are lots of Hallowe'en decorations, bubbling cauldrons, apple tubs, pumpkins and ghosts and surprises all over Wizard City. But beware, a boss is waiting to test your skills!

If you completed these quests last year (or in previous years) we have a surprise for you - you can now complete these quests again! Yes that's right - these Hallowe'en quests can be repeated once a year!

Look for Spooky Bob in the Shopping District by the fountain, and Jack Hallow in the Ravenwood Commons.

Welcome to October's Book of the Month Club! I'm Harold Argleston, your Wizard City Librarian and I would like to encourage you to read!

This month our book continues the theme of books that remind us of Avalon with Over Sea, Under Stone by Susan Cooper.

Your parents or even your grandparents might remember reading this book when they were kids, and it's still just as good today.

In this book, Simon, Jane, and Barney are on vacation in Cornwall, England with their great uncle Merriman, who is an archaeologist. They find an old map that they think might lead to a treasure that belonged to King Arthur. But they aren't the only people who are interested in the map – there are some scary people after the treasure too.

Over Sea, Under Stone is the start of a series, called The Dark is Rising, that has five books in all, so if you like this book there are plenty more to read!

Look for this book in your school or local library and enjoy reading, young Wizards!

New Elixirs

Lots of new Elixirs are available so let's clear up what does what.

Bric-a-Brac Decorating Elixir

- lets you increase the number of items that can be placed in an area of your house.

Additional Castle Elixir

- lets you purchase a house beyond the current maximum of three per character.

Crafting Elixir

- reset all your Crafting Countdown timers.

Hatching Elixir

- hatch all the eggs you currently have in your backpack.

Purreau's Potion #9

- This will reset your hatching timer and allow you to hatch two pets immediately.

These potions are only available for Crowns as they are either a permanent expansion of what is currently available to all players or they shortcut time in the game.
