The Spring Update has arrived to all Wizards across the Spiral! From the endless magical pet adventures you can now have with Play as Your Pet to the exciting (but dangerous!) challenge Fellspawn provides, the Spring Update provides plenty of exciting new content for you to explore.
A special thanks to the many fansites and livestreamers that hosted exclusive pet giveaways during the launch of the Spring Update. Also, thanks to our entire community for being patient with us while we work through the remaining issues from the release of the Spring Update. With such a large update like this one, it's inevitable that we'll have a few loose ends to tie up, so to speak. It's with your insight and reporting these issues in the forums that we can quickly resolve them. Expect continued support here!
A reminder to please be nice to each other. We do not tolerate those who seek to disrupt the fun of others, and especially do not tolerate abuse and other forms of harassment. If you see any concerns of this kind in the game, please immediately report it using the in-game reporting tools. Your reports go directly to our support team to review. We can only resolve issues if we know about them. Thank you!

SPRING UPDATE NOW LIVE
A new year brings new possibilities to the Spiral for Wizards! Do you adore your pets? Are you looking forward to the next Beastmoon Hunt event? Is collecting things a hobby of yours and you would like to see combat benefits from matching certain types of gear? Our Spring Update has all this and much more for you to explore!
In this update we bring out all the cuteness of pets by allowing Wizards to now become their pet! There’s plenty of other pet related features we’ve been working hard on for this update. In addition, we’ve been working on revamping the item UI, adding new Beastmoon Hunt maps (including an underwater one!), and releasing Fellspawn to those who dare challenge another Skeleton Key Boss. Speaking of water themed content, there’s now fishing in Khrysalis!
Here’s what’s included in this latest Wizard101 release!
The first ever community developer Q&A hosted by another community member kicked off on Man0fbass’s Twitch channel! Several developers joined in on the fun and talked all about the Beastmoon Hunt events on this inaugural episode. Have a listen:
THE FRIENDLY NECROMANCER
Tom Purdue, Game Designer here at KingsIsle, is a real Smack Talking Bear in Wizard101! Check out his latest post on his personal blog to decipher what this means...
“So, about a year ago or so, my work buddy Mike Sears let me know that there was a spot in the new Sinbad and the Iron Sultan gauntlet that needed a touch of ambient voiceover. Granted most people are gonna just skip past this spot in Wizard101 as they hurry on their way through the dungeon, but if you're an explorer type of person, you might just take the time to slow down and wander just a bit to the left and over to this shady group of characters.” - Tom Purdue, Game Designer
JOIN THE DEVS @WIZARD101DEVS TWITTER
Join the developers @Wizard101Devs Twitter! We created a new page specifically for our team to chat in a slightly more casual atmosphere than the more formal @Wizard101 page, but not as informal as the team has been chatting with you on their own personal channels.
If you want to know where the team is at and what they are talking about, @Wizard101Devs is the best and most direct place to hang out with us on a regular basis!
We had another at-home edition of KI Live! Due to the world having to manage the Coronavirus outbreak, the KingsIsle team is currently working from home. This didn’t stop us from putting on a show online though. We’re glad we were able to put on the show too, as we had lots to talk about, including showing off more of the 2020 Spring Update which is now on the Live Realms!
A great Wizard101 tip submitted to KI Live comes from community member Ash:
“When purchasing ship equipment in the bazaar, ensure you have the ship unbottled if you are sorting the equipment by 'Usable', otherwise the equipment you could be using may not show up. Happy Pirating!” - Ash
macOS UPDATE WARNING REMINDER
A quick reminder that Wizard101 is now compatible with macOS Catalina’s 64-bit platform! You can install Catalina at any time and should have normal access again to the game.
Direct from the community, the Sixth Annual @FansiteFest for both Wizard101 and Pirate101 will be taking place Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June! Stay tuned for more announcements on hosts and events on their website, fansitefestival.com!
