The idea of a rival school to Ravenwood has been captivating our fans ever since the side world of Wysteria was originally released back in August 2011. As discussed on KI Live last month, Wysteria is in fact our most popular side world! We’re celebrating that this month by making Pegasus Place our Zone of the Month! Read on for more information about the zone and our discounted price through June 15th!
Name: Pegasus Place
Location: Wysteria – Pegasus Place is not difficult to find considering the winding maze of Pigswick Academy. From entering Pigswick, just hang a right past the Headmistress’ Office. You’ll see Captain O’Hare guarding the entrance there.
Description: Pegasus Place is very bright and colorful, with stucco housing and wonderful topiary . . . if you can look past the tell-tale signs of goblin invasion, that is. Within this magical zone, you’ll find two grand towers at the end both left and right roads (in a kind of horseshoe shape) with a floating island in the middle that stables flying Pegasus horses (a zone that’s true to its name – a place for Pegasi).
Cost: Typically areas in Wysteria cost 1000 Crowns, but because this is our zone of the month, we’ve discounted this area to 700 Crowns through June 15th, 2018!
Zeke Item: In Wysteria, Zeke asks you to track down a special species of flower called “Wallflowers” – you can find this back on a wall, behind a tree that’s near the Crystal Tower.
Chests: Yes! There are both Wooden and Silver Chests here. Enjoy the hunt for treasure.
Secrets: Be sure to get your free Proud Pegasus Statue from the Aerie stables! (See hint in the pictures.)
Reagents: On Pegasus Place you’ll find Black Lotus, Mist Wood, Parchment, and Stone Block. (See hints in the pictures.) Some of the bosses in the Tower of the Helephant have really rare and precious Regents as well, like Amber Dust and Merle’s Whisker.
Fishing: Strangely enough, there doesn’t seem to be a spot of water in this zone, despite the lush green lawns and fertile greenery.
Teleporters: Although one might argue a single teleporter that takes you to the Crystal Tower from the entrance would be nice (especially since squeezing past a room full of goblins near the Aerie can be tricky), but the size of the zone doesn’t seem to warrant this particular type of transportation.
What’s the 4-1-1? You’re first sent to Pegasus Place by Belladonna Crisp, who’s heard you were good at solving difficult problems. At the direction of Belladonna, Captain O’Hare lets you know about a fierce band of Goblins that have overrun Pegasus Place. After clearing out a few Wood Goblins near the entrance, an impressed Captain O’Hare sends you deeper into Pegasus Place to find Groundskeeper Verne, who’s gone missing.
Once you find Groundskeeper Verne, he lets you know he’s shocked by the arrival of the Goblins because he’s not quite sure how they arrived. Verne sends you to find clues by gathering samples of a new plant that arrived with the Goblins. After collecting the samples, Verne sends you to the Aerie’s Stable Master, Lapin Wingtamer.
Lapin, who is short-handed since the Goblin invasion, asks you to help him feed his Pegasi and retrieve his key to the stables. After helping him, he gives you some critical information about a portal the Goblins have been using to enter Pegasus Place. You return to Groundskeeper Verne and let him know about the portal. After some study, Verne now knows that the strange plants appearing in Pegasus Place also come from Weirwood.
You travel back to Pigswick Academy to talk about this with Beatrice WildWind, a student from Weirwood who had come to join in the Pigswick tournaments. Luckily, Beatrice knows of an incantation to help close the portal to Weirwood, and the merchants of Pigswick thankfully have exactly what you need to cast the spell, save for one ingredient: a Soul Stone from the Goblin horde leader.
You fetch the words to the incantation spell from the Library and defeat Lord Graustark to obtain the Goblin Soul Stone. You close the portal and greatly impress both Groundskeeper Verne and Belladonna...well, that is, you impress Belladonna as much as she can be impressed by a student from Ravenwood.
Who’s that Boss? The real big bosses of Pegasus Place don’t come from the main storyline! The Tower of the Helephant is a level 60 gauntlet that was, at one time, the hardest dungeon in the game! Inside this tower you’ll find a merciless fight with Ervin the Barbarian and his cadre of villains, including Taurus the Clever and a couple of Tonkatsu thugs. At the end of the Tower, you’ll also fight Lyon Lorestriker. These fights feature cheating bosses and advanced strategy. As a reward, you could end up with a Mastery Amulet from another class that allows you to cast spells from that class with your power pips...a very handy item indeed!
Don’t miss this Side Quest! Most of the Side Quests in Pegasus Place originate from Groundskeeper Verne. At low levels, quests like Sheer Madness can be just that extra boost you need to pad your level.
