Through the Looking-Glass

null

'The time has come,' the walrus said, 'to talk of many things'...

― Lewis Carroll

As we all say farewell to 2013, I get rather nostalgic in my Producer Letter, Merle contemplates all that is changing in this Spiral of ours, and Morganthe offers up her own challenge.

We've seen changes big and small, and our last Feedback Friday of the year is a great indication of what our players enjoyed most from last year. Of course the big updates of new magic and a new world are high on the list, but sometimes it's the small things that really improve the game.

Item Locking prevents players from accidentally deleting their favorite gear, Quest Finder drove players back to earlier worlds to pick up quests they had missed or forgotten, and Castle Tours opened up a whole new aspect of Housing & Decorating that has surpassed all our wildest dreams!

Wizard101 Headmaster Merle Ambrose

“Curiouser and curiouser!”

― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

As we look into this brand new year of 2014, there's much to come; big and small! As you know, the latest world of Khrysalis was split into two large game updates, one last year, and one this year. With this new world expansion will come many challenges and surprises! Look for Morganthe's chapter to conclude on an unexpected note!

But of course, that's not the end of the tale, not by far! Wizard101's first chapter began in Wizard City, and culminated with the defeat of Malistaire. Wizard101's second chapter began in Celestia with the introduction of Morganthe and will conclude in Khrysalis Part 2. There are many chapters to come that will introduce new villains, new allies, new challenges, and new stories of mystery and intrigue that will continue the story that is Wizard101.

Wig Out!

nullThe weekend of January 19th we're wigging out!

We're going to help support cancer patients and have a blast doing it by promoting awareness for Wig Out! Cut a Rug for Cancer. What started as one person’s idea to simply cut and donate his hair has evolved into one of the most charitable and enjoyable evening events in the Austin area, as entertainers, artists, and volunteers come together to help a worthy local cancer charity. Learn more at http://cutarugforcancer.com/

Look for special promotions on our Official Wizard101 social media sites and more announcements closer to January 19th!

A Strange Wild Song

You've had a pleasant run!

The Celestial Choir twists in pain and their anguish fuels the Song of Creation – the Song that Morganthe is making her own! Will the Council of Light guide you to reach the Shadow Palace in time to confront her, or will you stumble and have all your efforts be for naught? The Shadows writhe and dance and take new forms – who can imagine the Spiral reborn in Morganthe’s image?

Beyond Fort Rachias lies the dangers of Crescent Beach, and the whirlwind storms of the Starfall Sea. Despite having freed the Bumbler Bees from Morganthe’s control, the merciless Mantises, savage Scorpions, and sinister Spiders still obey her whims. And what other Warlords have come to heed her call?

null Morganthe knows you are trespassing in her domain, and you can be certain she will not take such intrusion lightly.

"O Wizards", said Morganthe
"You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be testing wits again?"
But answer came there none --
And this was scarcely odd, because
She'd destroyed them, every one!
