This is the April 2011 installment of my Book of the Month Club. These books have been suggested by a fellow Librarian from Earth, her name is Kit Ward-Crixell and she is a librarian in New Braunfels, Texas, USA.
This month we continue looking at books that remind us of the world of Celestia. This is one recommendation with two books in it! The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau by Dan Yaccarino, and Manfish, by Jennifer Byrne, both tell the true story of a real undersea explorer named Jacques Cousteau. Jacques Cousteau not only invented scuba tanks, wetsuits, and swim fins; he also figured out how to make underwater films to tell everyone about the importance of the oceans and everything that lives there. Both of these books are short and have lots of pictures. |
