2020 Friendship Festival Poetry Contest

A little poetry can brighten one's day, especially if it’s shared with friends, so today we’re announcing the Friendship Festival’s 2020 Poetry Contest!

While our games are filled with rich and detailed storylines, there is so much more to tell from the viewpoint of a player. We want you to write a poem about one of your more memorable experiences so far in either Wizard101 or Pirate101. You can refer to any pets, mounts, items, and of course friends you’ve met along the way to add personal flare to your poem.

For all qualified entries, we’ll select 10 entries to win the new ‘Heart’ teleport effect and 10K Crowns each and will also read a couple of them on KI Live in February. We can’t wait to see what unique and creative poetry you come up with!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Write a poem related to Wizard101 and/or Pirate101 of up to 300 words in length. Your poem doesn’t have to rhyme! It can be any type of poetry.
Submit your entry in an email to community@kingsisle.com.
- Ensure the email subject line includes: “KingsIsle 2020 Poetry Contest Entry”
- Include in the email:
  - Which game(s)
  - Title of the poem
  - A sentence or two describing why you created the story
  - Your account username and a character name
Optional: Share your entry on social media using #SpiralPoetry and we might share the post! All submissions must be submitted by email even if they’re shared on social media.

Chosen entries will be notified by email and prizes will be awarded sometime between February 28-March 3, 2020. Please do not contact us asking about the status of your prize until this window has passed. Announcement of the winning submissions will be posted on social media and in the following newsletter.

CONTEST RULES

Entries must be received before 11:59 PM US Central time on Sunday, February 23, 2020.
If you are under 13 years of age, ask your parent or guardian permission to participate.
Include your game character AND account names in the email.
One entry per account will be eligible. Any group efforts will only award the submitter.
Entries must be entirely original creations made by you.
Entries that use copyrighted or inappropriate material will not qualify.
