At a Glance

Your Community Leader will be submitting pictures of up to 4 player-decorated houses per game. How those delegates are chosen is up to the Community Leader to decide.

For Pirate101, houses will be Tavern themed. For Wizard101, they will be Magical Library themed. We *strongly* encourage a wide interpretation of the themes and taking a unique approach to decorating your house.

Submissions are due September 21st 10pm CT.

General Tournament Reminders

This is one of 4 total challenges that will happen throughout the CSC. The top 4 communities for each challenge will win a number of Standing Points depending on their position in the top 4. At the end of the Tournament, the community (in each game) with the most Standing Points will win the Ultimate Prize: Each game will have a mount-variant added that is themed after the winning community + all the winning participants will receive a similarly themed trophy housing item!

For each challenge, the top 4 communities will also receive 5-15 1-month memberships! Communities can compete in both games, and there are a total of 288 1-month memberships to win!

Challenge Details

Your Community Leader will be submitting pictures of up to 4 player-decorated houses per game. How those delegates are chosen is up to the Community Leader to decide.

  • For Pirate101, your theme is: Tavern.

  • For Wizard101, your theme is: Magical Library.

  • We *strongly* encourage a wide interpretation of the themes and taking a unique approach to decorating your house. Submissions are due September 21st 10pm CT.

We are asking for the best themed housing decorators to show us what they can do! For each game, there are two categories for this challenge. UnRestricted(UR) and Free-to-play(F2P).

  • Your community may submit up to 3 pictures per submission

  • Your community may have up to 3 UR submissions and 1 F2P submission

  • Unrestricted = You may use any items, houses, etc. But remember, more does not always mean better.

  • F2P = You may ONLY use houses and items obtained with GOLD

  • F2P may use any items purchased from the Bazaar. HOWEVER, because many housing items may be purchased with crowns then sold in the Bazaar, we will give slight preference to F2P submissions that make clever use of housing items that did NOT originate from "Crown purchased item -> Bazaar". We hope this discourages players from purchasing housing items to instantly sell to a F2P decorator waiting in the Bazaar to make a quick "legal" purchase.

  • Which delegates your Community Leader decides to submit is up to them. They may host a mini-decoration contest, a community vote, a random decision, etc. The specific rules and details of that decision making process are 100% up to the Community Leader and are NOT subject to interference by KingsIsle unless community guidelines and/or general tournament rules are violated.

    Challenge Scoring

Once all submissions have been sent in by Community Leaders, - Reminder: Deadline is September 21st, 10pm - the community team at KingsIsle will choose the best UR submission from each community. All UR submissions will be ranked against each other. All F2P submissions will be ranked against each other.

We will rank both categories separately. Your goal is to obtain the lowest rank possible in each category. Your ranks in each category are added together to make your Challenge Score. The lowest score wins, so 1st place is best place!

If both your categories obtain 1st place, your Challenge Score will be calculated: 1+1 = 2, aka the best possible score. Here's an example scenario:

  • Community 1: Your UR gets 3rd place, and your F2P gets 10th place. Thus, your Challenge Score is 3+10= 13.

  • Community 2: Your UR gets 1st place, and your F2P gets 2nd place. Thus, your Challenge Score is 1+2= 3.

  • Community 3: Your UR gets 2nd place, and your F2P gets 1st place. Thus, your Challenge Score is ALSO 2+1= 3.

  • Community 4: Your UR gets 8th place, and your F2P gets 10th place. Thus, your Challenge Score is 8+10= 18.

  • As you can see, Example 2 and 3 are tied for the win. Ties will be won by the community with the better UR score. So in this scenario, Community 2 wins.

    Challenge FAQ's

Question: I'd like to show off my house but I'm not a delegate for my community. How can I do that?

Question: We'd love to see your house! Post pictures on Twitter with the hashtag #SpiralCupHouse. These tweets will not count as official submissions, but we'd love to see your work nonetheless!

Question: What is the difference between an Unrestricted(UR) and F2P (Free to Play) player in this challenge?

Answer: Unrestricted players have the option of using houses (and housing items) that can be purchased through the Crowns Shop or Bundles. A F2P player will only be able to submit a house decorated with F2P items you earn in game or purchased at the bazaar, not through the Crowns Shop or Bundles. Reminder: we will give slight preference to F2P submissions that make clever use of housing items that did NOT originate from "Crown purchased item -> Bazaar". We hope this discourages players from purchasing housing items to instantly sell to a F2P decorator waiting in the Bazaar to make a quick "legal" purchase.

Question: How can I help my community if I am not a chosen delegate for this challenge?

Answer: You can either help the chosen delegates with their house or try and get bonus points! Remember, the best work of art and best meme of the challenge are each worth 1 Standing Point!
