I totally agree it would be cool if we could learn spells from Wysteria. I mean we are in a sense a transfer student during the time of the tournament. Spells could be more of a support tip that can cause different effects from chaining attacks, to enhancing spells or even spells that will allow you to cast two spells or skip over the opponent and allow you to cast again.
