I suggest you doing Crab Alley first before Krokotopia. I did on my lvl 14 death character who is now lvl 16 from completing Crab Alley. It's more quicker and easier in my opinion and you may lvl up a few times.
Having done random quests throughout the spiral really helps with leveling because you can have a harder time in higher leveled worlds like being level 20 in Mooshu.
