on the scarecrow quest i did not get a pet

when I was on the scarecrow quest, which you get when you are level 48, it said you get a pet. But when I finished the quest I did not get the pet.
Does any one else know what happened?

Is your backpack full? If so the pet wraith is waiting in your bank.

Did you sell it. try talking to your professer or check your bank.
