The Oni are evil demon type creatures similar to Ogres or Trolls in Japanese Mythology. Perhaps they are referring to the End of the World as all those things don't sound very fun, and do sound very End of the Worldish.

NikSoulSword: Death also has a 40% but they do learn their blade sooner. I think Life is also 40%? not sure on that one though.
Life is the last school to learn a Hit All Spell they have to wait clear until Forest Lord (I mean unless you count the Astral Schools, in which case they'd be last.)
