Ubuntu Linux Wine With my Nvidia video card I had to set my Wine configuration Graphics> (check) Emulate a virtual desktop Desktop size 800x600 to start then set Vertex Shader support: (None) and (uncheck) Allow Pixel Shader
This is a little like fishing in the dark, but doable. To see my mouse pointer I waited for the game to start then I went to options>click on the red gear(upper left)>Hardware Cursor {OFF} and if you want better than 800x600 graphics set graphics detail to (High) and resolution(same as your desktop) and Texture Detail(High) click ok and log off.
