I was thinking that the awards from Scroll of Fortune are off by a season. In the Fall Scroll of Fortune, the rewards are all fall related...that makes sense in the moment. But by the time most people earn them, Fall is almost over.
The awards for Winter, in particular the stitch gear, is holiday related, but it would be very difficult to earn them before the holidays. The final transport is snow, but by the time I earn it, I'll be thinking it about spring.
So I was thinking that the persistent rewards (gear, housing items, etc.) should be related to the next season rather than the current season so if I put them on right away, they make sense for that timeframe. For example, this spring, the gear should be summer, etc.
