I love the look of many wallpapers/flooring, and wish I was utilize them when decorating outside or creating my own areas. My idea would be to make recipes that use any castle block, and a specific wallpaper/flooring. The recipe would produce a castle block wall or floor that is the size of one full wallpaper/flooring pattern (I think it would be a bit larger than the largest wall and flooring blocks, but the size seems consistent for all wallpapers and flooring) with the texture of the wallpaper/flooring used in the recipe. Just having one floor and wall block for a handful of wallpapers and flooring at the start would go a long way to expand what decorators can do with area creation.
