doing the mainquests only, but if you do that you enter at a lower lvl then most, so most equipment you get you cant wear yet, and if you continue that you will enter ds at a low lvl too, which will pile up even more. If you ask me i do some side quests that go with your main quests, and ask friends for help
IF u REALLY want to jump through then i suggest you get a friend to help you with almost all of it and try to do a bunch of side quests with the main if u end up in mooshu with a low level the monsters there are going to beat u down a LOT
