I was actually expecting one to have been there when I first learned what the heck these meant and was surprised there was not one.

Good point, both of you. I'm still very confused as to a lot of things in this game (even though I'm a generally fast learner), and Pips are one of the things about which I am the most intrigued. A tutorial would be nice!
