After reading up on the upcoming update on jewels, I thought of another way kings isle could expand upon the game and allow for further wizard customization. Collars for pets.
A collar could increase a pet's stats to better improve its existing abilities or performance in derbies or give the pet an additional may cast talent. The intent behind this idea is to help wizards indirectly by improving their pets.
School-specific collars could be designed so that they can only be attached to pets of those schools. Say, for instance, you are a death wizard running around with a life pet. Instead of trying to get a death-specific item for your pet like you would for yourself, you would want to find a life collar for your pet instead.
To ease up on the hunt for such items, collars could be obtained through a point system like training points. Each time you level up your pet, you could redeem a point for a collar for your pet that can only be replaced with a higher ranked collar, much like how wizards obtain spells by leveling up.
I like this idea it might just work out great if it would to be added to the game and for fairies and other small pets like imp will the collar be like a necklace or something that would fit small pets size? and for the improvement on the talents do you mean if the pet has a healing talent with the collar it'll heal more or something different? because if you mean improve talents like the talents change I don't think that would be added thou but this is still great

The only way it would make sense would be stat gains. Increased strength, agility, power for example would increase all resistance based talents. Strength, will, power would increase damage based talents, etc.
