It's kind of discouraging to only have 3 shots per day, especially when all the good rewards are so prohibitively high-cost. I can sort of see where the restriction came from, it makes it impossible to just farm the deckathalon mindlessly, but it's still a pain. Maybe purchasing deckathalon points could be a benefit for members?
