The image of Firecat Alley in the newsletter is clearly not the final version. There's not a single drop of lava in sight. What happened there?

Incidentally, would it make the game to graphically intensive to have the street be constantly fading between the textures with and without lava?

Firecat Alley was changed to have those glowing rocks shortly before the update was released. A very nice change, I should say.
