What is an elemental? For the badge

I'm trying to complete my Wizard City badges, but I can't find any creatures that give me credit for the Elemental Dispeller badge. Which creatures should I be looking for?

Defeating 50 elementals should do it!

Yes, but unfortunately defeating Evil Snowmen doesn't give me credit toward this badge. Nothing in Wizard City does. I was about half way there but now I can't make progress. Something has happened. Maybe the rules were changed?

Also, the Sand Stalkers in Krokotopia (Pyramid of the Sun Areas) are also considered elementals, if you are looking for any more.

According to this post, the elementals do not have to be exclusive to Wizard City.
